China-made pure electric buses put into operation in Spain

In order to promote green travel, the Spanish city of Santander recently introduced two pure electric buses manufactured by China King Long Bus and put them into operation.

According to Agustin Navarro, Commissioner for Sustainable Transport, two new pure electric buses of TUS have arrived at the facilities of the Municipal Urban Bus Service Bureau, and the two new buses will join the existing four buses.

It is reported that the electric buses purchased this time use pure electric drive technology, with zero emissions and low noise, which can effectively reduce air pollution and improve the urban environment. The vehicles fully comply with EU environmental standards, and the range and charging efficiency meet the daily operation needs. The Santander City Government said that the choice of pure electric buses made in China is based on the comprehensive consideration of their technical maturity, economy and environmental performance, which will help local public transportation develop in a more sustainable direction.

At the same time, the Santander City Government will also improve the supporting infrastructure, including the expansion of charging stations throughout the city to ensure the efficient operation of pure electric buses.

The purchase is funded by the EU Sustainable Development Fund, demonstrating the potential for cooperation between China and Europe in the field of green transportation. The development of new energy technologies in China provides new options for European cities, while the EU's policy support accelerates the implementation of environmentally friendly vehicles. This cooperation model not only helps European cities achieve carbon neutrality goals, but also provides valuable experience for the development of global green transportation.
