According to the latest data from the China Bus Statistics Information Network, in February, China's total export of buses (over 3.5 meters) was 4,072, a year-on-year increase of 9.99% and a month-on-month decrease of 14.02%. In the first two months, the total export volume was 8,808, a year-on-year increase of 22.27%.
Against the backdrop of a high export base in the same period of 2024, a volatile international situation, and disturbances caused by the Spring Festival holiday, it is not easy for China's bus exports to achieve substantial positive growth at the beginning of 2025, which also adds more confidence to the sustainable development of the industry.
Specifically, in February, Xiamen King Long jumped from the third place in January to the first place in the industry with a dazzling performance of 736 monthly export sales, a year-on-year increase of 6.98%, a month-on-month increase of 35.79%, and a market share of 18.07%. The market share also increased by nearly 7 percentage points compared with January.
King Long Bus temporarily ranked second, with export sales of 701 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 66.90%, and a market share of 17.22%, which can be said to be closely following the champion.
Suzhou King Long (Higer Bus) jumped from the tenth place in January to the third place, with export sales of 616 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 151.43%, and a month-on-month increase of 229.41%. The market share was 15.13%, which was a significant increase of nearly 12 percentage points compared with January, and it can be said to be the biggest "dark horse" this month.
Among the top ten export sales in February, 6 companies achieved year-on-year growth. Among them, the company with the highest year-on-year growth was Ankai Bus, which was nearly twice as high (198.81%). Ankai Bus and Suzhou Kinglong (Higer Bus, 151.43%) became the two companies whose year-on-year growth doubled in February.
In February, only Suzhou Kinglong (Higer Bus), Xiamen Kinglong and BYD saw month-on-month growth, which was mainly affected by the Spring Festival holiday. Among them, Suzhou Kinglong (Higer Bus) had the highest growth, reaching 229.41%. The three companies that saw month-on-month growth also saw "double growth" year-on-year and month-on-month.
